If you own a Dillon 1050 you know that one of the weakest points on the machine is the index pawl. If a primer jams between the frame and the shellplate, whether from decapping or not properly priming, the stock pawl will most likely be damaged under the stress of the jam when the shellplate indexes. Damaging this one small part will put the press out of commission.
We've improved the index pawl by:
- Machining our pawls from precision ground AR400 steel making them extremely wear resistant.
- Redesigned the tip geometry to work perfectly with the newest version of our Burly shellplates (will work with standard shellplates but, may require slight modifcation to the tip).
Please note that the pin hole is finish drilled but, if for some reason you receive a pawl with a pin hole that is undersized the hole can be cleaned up with a 3/32" drill bit.
